Did you know...

...that the Summits of the Americas is a three-year process of implementation and preparation that will culminate with a meeting of the Heads of State of the Americas on April 14-15, 2012 in Cartagena, Colombia? The Sixth Summit aims to produce a focused declaration with concrete commitments that are realistic, measurable and that can produce tangible results.

In 1984, Cartagena's colonial walled city and fortress were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is an outstanding example of the military architecture of the 16th-18th centuries.
