...that since 2007, young entrepreneurs have presented more than 6,500 business plans at the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas) to launch sustainable businesses? TIC Americas, which is organized by the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT), has benefitted over 20,000 young people in the hemisphere whose ideas have helped create or expand businesses that generate youth employment. TIC Americas 2012 will be held in Cartagena, Colombia, prior to the Sixth Summit in April. Competition finalists will, among other things, participate in the Eco Challenge which provides awards for environmental innovation.
